A new member of the popular UMIDIGI A7 series, the UMIDIGI A7S is coming. From the poster on UMIDIGI’s Twitter and the leaked render images, we can find that the new UMIDIGI A7S seems to be the first entry-level phone to feature a non-contact infrared thermometer sensor, and the anti-fingerprint design is also very different from the previous UMIDIGI products.
According to the poster, we can see that UMIDIGI A7S can measure someone’s temperature without touching the person. This is worked by an infrared thermometer sensor, but we are not sure if it can measure the temperature of objects. Infrared thermometers on the smartphone is not a new thing, but it is actually worthy of attention during this special period, especially this feature is rare on the entry-level phones.
From the render image, we can find that A7S has a quad camera system, obviously three of which are used for photography and the remaining one is used for thermometer. UMIDIGI A7S has a 3D unibody design. On the basis of this structure, UMIDIGI A7S features a new anti-fingerprint texture which looks similar to Redmi 9A. Besides, it has an independent button on the left side, but we are not sure if it is used for the infrared thermometer or some other functions. A7S also comes with a water-drop display, but its specifications still need to be confirmed.

The UMIDIGI A7S comes with an infrared thermometer sensor that can measure body temperature without touch. This is amazing for an entry-level phone especially during this special period. The sensor resides in the rear camera system, and it can be quickly accessed by clicking the independent customizable shortcut key on the left side.

Ultra wide triple rear camera on a budget
Talking about the camera, UMIDIGI A7S sports a triple camera system which includes a 13MP Main Camera, a 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (120 degree field of view) and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone supports ultra wide mode and portrait mode. The front camera offers a 8MP sensor with AI Beautify support.
3D unibody with anti-fingerprint texture design
UMIDIGI A7S features a 3D unibody design which makes it easy and comfortable to hold. The A7S offers anti-fingerprint texture on the back, which keeps the phone brand new all the time. Besides, the smartphone comes with an internal 32GB storage. UMIDIGI A7S comes with a Type-C port and a 3-Card Slot (Dual SIM + MicroSD) with up to 128GB expandable memory, and the phone runs stock Android 10 Go with global LTE bands.
